STATEN ISLAND, N.Y., June 18, 2026 — Staten Island Academy’s Head of School, Dr. Eileen F. Corigliano, and the school’s Board of Trustees will welcome members of the Academy community to 8 Circle Road this evening for a cocktail reception celebrating the school’s newly acquired property and the next phase of its campus expansion plan.
Located adjacent to the Academy’s campus, 8 Circle Road will be incorporated into Staten Island Academy’s broader campus master plan. The property is expected to provide space for educational purposes and administrative offices, freeing up valuable space on the main campus for additional classrooms and enhanced programming.
“The school’s enrollment is growing significantly and we are seeking ways for our physical plant to match our superior academic program,” said Dr. Corigliano. “The purchase of this new property will allow us to continue expanding our program while preserving the breadth and excellence of all that we offer through academics, the arts, athletics, and service learning.”
Marcello Sciarrino Jr., Chairman of the Board of Trustees, noted that the acquisition reflects the Academy’s continued commitment to thoughtful, mission-driven growth.
“The purchase of 8 Circle Road represents the next phase in our plan to renovate, upgrade, and reimagine the Academy’s facilities for the future,” said Sciarrino. “It follows the opening of our new 2D Art Studio, Library and Multicultural Center, and Innovation Lab last September, each of which has already enriched the student experience in meaningful ways.”
The gathering at 8 Circle Road will offer trustees, school leaders, and supporters an opportunity to tour the property, learn more about the Academy’s vision for the space, and consider the possibilities it offers for the continued growth of Staten Island Academy.
